About Library

The NIPFP library has grown to be a leading research and reference library in the area of public finance in India. The focus is on following core areas:
- Public Finance.
- Macroeconomics especially fiscal, monetary and commercial policy.
- Microeconomics particularly public sector and urban economics and industry studies.
- Planning and Development.
- Economic Theory and Methodology.
- Indian economic, demographic, and health Data.
- Political Economy.
- Environmental and Natural Resource Economics.
Equipped with all modern facilities, the library offers a conducive environment to users. The library operations have been automated using LIBSYS -- an integrated library software. It maintains catalogue database of books, articles (journals & newspapers) and journal holding on a regular basis, accessible through the Institute’s Local Area Network (LAN). It has networking arrangement with over 150 institutions for sharing of resources.

User's Profile
The library serves the vital support needs of researchers
and trainees in the area of public economics. Visiting
members are advised to carry an official request
from their respective organisations.
